The Independence Day Celebration in Chariton has been cancelled Including the ecumenical worship service on the Chariton Square.
So, on Sunday, July 5, First Lutheran will gather in the sanctuary.

OPPORTUNITY FOR VIRTUAL VBS!!!

Please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the Fireside Room or you can call Wendy and she will put you on the schedule (641-774-4875).  This ministry would involve mowing and trimming the area immediately surrounding the church building (inside the circle driveway) and sweeping off the sidewalks.

We will also celebrate the baptisms of Julius Murray and June Murray.  Parents of the twins are Andrew & Ashley Murray.  Grandparents are Dana & Connie Holland.

We are doing very well collecting cancelled stamps.  Due to the cancellation of our June gathering, we will continue to collect the stamps through mid-October.

Also at CTS on June 14, they will continue the SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING following worship to continue the discussion on property repairs and take any needed votes.

THE CTS TASK FORCE WILL MEET following the special congregation meeting.


AT FIRST LUTHERAN:
This Sunday, June 14:  Outdoor Worship is being planned on the west side of First Lutheran on the large cememt pad to begin at 9 am.  Please bring your lawn chairs.  There will not be a brunch and coffee will not be served.
Sunday, June 21:  Begin worshiping in the sanctuary weekly at 9 am.
We will also celebrate the baptisms of Julius Murray and June Murray, the twin grandchildren of Connie & Dana Holland on June 21. Parents of the children are Andrew & Ashley Murray.


CONCRETE PROJECT TO BEGIN SOON AT FIRST LUTHERAN
First Lutheran is delaying the beginning of worship because the cement work will begin in the church parking lot sometime around the first part of June.  Once the cement is poured and finished, it cannot be driven on for at least a week.
