LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF SCHOOL BAGS: We will be filling school bags at FLC on “God’s Work, Our Hands” Day on Sunday, September 12.  If you wish to contribute money for shipping, please make your check out to First Lutheran or bring your money into the church office.  If writing a check, please mark clearly in the memo that it is for LWR shipping.  If you have questions, please contact Jean Heston or LuAnn Mosbach.

CTS WILL ALSO BE COLLECTING ITEMS for school bag kits and items to finish the health care kits that were started in the spring.  Please see the list of items needed on the table in the basement if you are interested in helping.  If you have questions, please see Cindy Thiel.

SPECIAL CONGREGATION MEETING:  At the request of the Executive Committee and the Church Council, a special congregation meeting will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 10 am at FLC for the purpose of approving going forth with concrete improvements.  Thank you.

LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD will meet at CTS beginning at 2 pm, on Monday, September 13. 

CONGREGATION COUNCIL will meet at FLC beginning at 6:30 pm, on Monday, September 13.

THE BREAKFAST GALS will meet Tuesday, September 14, in the Fireside Room at FLC beginning at 8 am.

“SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING at CTS will take place this Tuesday, September 14, from 9 am – 3 pm.  

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY CONTINUES THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 9 am, at FLC.  Pastor will be with us to help guide the study.  Refreshments will be available. The sessions will be for 1 hour.

CONFIRMATION CLASSES will begin on Wednesday, September 15^th at  2:00 pm at FLC.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AT FLC will begin on Sunday, September 19th at 10 am at FLC.

SEPTEMBER IS JUICE MONTH at the Ministries Center.  Examples would be fruit juices, vegetable juices (tomato & V8), and juice boxes. Thank you! They are currently in need of ketchup, mustard, shampoo and dish soap.  Thank you!

THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 29, DURING WORSHIP SERVICES, WE WILL BLESS THE YOUTH AND THEIR BACKPACKS AS WELL AS THE TEACHERS.  Plan to attend and don’t forget to bring your backpack! 

NO WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, AT FLC.
WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY WILL CONTINUE ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 9 am, at FLC.  Pastor will be with us to help guide the study.  Coffee will be available. Bring your Bibles. The sessions will be for 1 hour.

PRAYER SHAWL/BABY AFGHAN MISSION WILL MEET ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 1:30 pm at FLC in the Library .  Anyone who would like to help with the prayer shawls and baby afghans or who would like to learn how to knit or crochet are encouraged to come.

CANCELLED STAMP UPDATE  Cancelled Stamps will continue to be collected until September 5. There is a shoe box located on the desk in the Fireside Room where you can place your stamps. We have successfully filled 2 shoeboxes full! Let’s fill the 3^rd!  Thank you for your help with this project!
