CTS POTLUCK ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29 after worship service. FLC WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesday, October 1 at 10 am.   ADULT BIBLE STUDY  will be held on Wednesday, October  2 at 10 am in the Fireside Room.   CONFIRMATION CLASS will meet on Wednesday, October 2 at 2 pm.   PRAYER SHAWL GROUP  will meet at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 2 .   HONORING OF OUR MEMBERS WHO ARE 80+ YEARS YOUNG will take place on Sunday, September 29 during the worship services at First Lutheran and Christ the Servant.   Refreshments will be served after the service.  Please plan to join us for worship that day and to honor these members!  DIRECTORY UPDATES/TIME & TALENT! On Sunday, September 22, directory update/time and talent sheets were completed during the worship service at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant.  There are paper copies available in the Narthex or you can use the QR code to complete the survey. ADULT BIBLE STUDY!Adult bible study will be on Wednesday, October 2 at 10 am in the Fireside Room at First Lutheran.  The study will be on the book “The Jesus I Never Knew.”  Everyone is welcome to attend for the study and fellowship.  The coffee pot will be on! REMEMBERING ALL GOD’S SAINTS On Sunday, November 3, we will remember all God’s saints. In the prayers that day, we will remember all those who have died since All Saints Sunday 2023. If you have a family member or close friend that you would like to include in this remembrance, please notify Susan in the church office via a note, email, or call before October 29. PRAYER SHAWL GROUP welcomes anyone who knits or crochets or is interested in learning how!  The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm.  Please contact Sharon Anstey or Kay Tighe if interested. NOISY OFFERINGS!Please  consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!  Offerings August through November will go to needy families in Chariton and Empty Stocking in Corydon. OCTOBER IS PERSONAL HYGIENE MONTH at the Ministries Center. SUNDAY SCHOOL STARTS on Sunday. September 22. ADULT BIBLE STUDY  will be held on Wednesday, September 25 at 10 am in the Fireside Room. CONFIRMATION CLASS will meet on Wednesday, September 25 at 2 pm.  TIME & TALENT! On Sunday, September 22, time and talent sheets will be completed during the worship service at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant.  You will have the opportunity to indicate how you can share your time and talent with the church.  You will also be asked to update the church directory information. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, September 15, at 5 pm hosted by Roger and Kary Blunk.   YOUTH BONFIRE AT FLC from 6-8 pm on Sunday, September 15 at First Lutheran.  All youth are welcome and invite your friends! ADULT BIBLE STUDY  will be held on Wednesday, September 18  at 10 am in the Fireside Room. CONFIRMATION CLASS will meet on Wednesday, September 18  at 2 pm. FIRST LUTHERAN SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING!There will be a special congregational meeting on Sunday, September 15, at 10 am to discuss fixing the water leak and associated expenditures.  All members are encouraged to attend. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP!LAF will meet on Sunday, September 15 at 5 pm hosted by Roger and Kary Blunk.  It will be a Super Sunday Salad meal.  Everyone is asked to bring a small salad in lieu of something else.  If you don’t wish to bring a small salad, please call Roger & Kary.  They may ask you to bring rolls or dessert.  Blunks will supply the meat. YOUTH BONFIRE!A YOUTH BONFIRE will be held from 6-8 pm on September 15 on the west side of the church.  Youth are encouraged to attend and bring their friends to enjoy food and fellowship around the fire.   This event is open to all youth in the community!
