LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, December 9 beginning at 2 pm.   CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Monday, December 9 at 6:30 pm at FLC.   BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, December 10 at Hardees.   “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, December 10 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS. MID-WEEK ADVENT SERVICE AT FIRST LUTHERAN will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 7 pm. WOMEN OF THE ELCA will meet on Thursday, December 12 at 1 pm at FLC.  They will be doing the November bible study. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, December 15, from 5-7 pm for a Christmas gathering.  Ernie’s bingo will be played.  Please bring a white elephant gift and treats to share.   Earl & Linda Comstock will host.  ADULT BIBLE STUDY!Adult bible study will NOT BE HELD during advent.  Bible Study will resume on January 8. MIDWEEK ADVENT WORSHIP SERVICES AT FLC will be held on Wednesday, December 11 and 18 at 7 pm.  CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AT FIRST LUTHERAN. Everyone loves a good story, and a lot of good stories are in the Bible!  Come join us on December 15 during the 9 am service to hear about one of those stories so dear to our hearts. Tell Me the Story of Jesus will be presented by the youth at First Lutheran on Sunday December 15.  The youth are very excited this year to participate in this story.   Mark your calendars for December 15 at 9 am at First Lutheran Church! NOISY OFFERINGS!Please  consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!  Offerings December through March at First Lutheran will go to Salvation Army-Heating Assistance.  Offerings December through August at Christ the Servant will go to Wayne School needs. DECEMBER IS DENTAL HEALTH MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, dental floss, etc.   Please consider helping with this ministry!   If you would like to volunteer at the Ministry Center the days and hours are listed below.  Ministry Center hours: Open M/W/F 9:30-11:30 am 410 S. 7th St.—774-8146 Salvation Army Assistance available during open hours.  Don’t forget the blessing boxes found around town can use donations, too!!   December 8 sponsor: John & Arta Harman in honor of their 70th wedding anniversary on December 19. CTS TASK FORCE will meet on Sunday, December 1 at noon. CTS WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Monday, December 2 at 11 am. FLC WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesday, December 3 at 10 am. HANGING OF THE GREENS AT FIRST LUTHERAN will be on Wednesday, December 4 starting at 1 pm. The Week of November 24 at CTS & FLC

CORYDON COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE at 6 pm on Monday, November 25. CHARITON COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, November 26 at 7 pm at the Methodist Church. ADULT BIBLE STUDY  will be held on Wednesday, November 27 at 10 am in the Fireside Room. Thankoffering Sunday– November 24Thankofferings show gratitude for God’s blessings and give us an important and tangible way to express that gratitude.  It is a tradition grounded in our celebration of community, of meeting together to joyfully give thanks for what God has given us.  Thankofferings have always been, and still are, our opportunity to say thank you to God in both significant and ordinary moments.     Thankoffering will be during worship on Sunday, November 24, hosted by our congregational unit of Women of the ELCA.  Everyone is welcome to give thankoffering that day!  CORYDON COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE On MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25 at 6 pm, the Corydon Community Thanksgiving Service will be held at Christ the Servant.  Everyone is welcome to come and join in this worship celebration! CHARITON COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE On TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26 at 7 pm, the Chariton Community Thanksgiving Service sponsored by the Interchurch Council will be held at the Methodist Church.  Everyone is welcome to come and join in this worship celebration! ADULT BIBLE STUDY!Adult bible study will be on Wednesday, November 27 at 10 am in the Fireside Room at First Lutheran.  The study will be on the book “The Jesus I Never Knew” pages 207-220.  Everyone is welcome to attend for the study and fellowship.  The coffee pot will be on!
