| CTS WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Monday, September 9 at 11 am. LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, September 9 beginning at 2 pm. CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Monday, September 9 at 6:30 pm at FLC. BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, September 10 at Hardees. “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, September 10 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS. CONFIRMATION CLASS will meet on Wednesday, September 11 at 2 pm. THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, September 12, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, September 15, at 5 pm hosted by Roger and Kary Blunk. YOUTH BONFIRE AT FLC from 6-8 pm on Sunday, September 15 at First Lutheran. All youth are welcome and invite your friends! FIRST LUTHERAN SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING!There will be a special congregational meeting on Sunday, September 15, at 10 am to discuss our water leak issue. All members are encouraged to attend. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP!LAF will meet on Sunday, September 15 at 5 pm hosted by Roger and Kary Blunk. It will be a Super Sunday Salad meal. Everyone is asked to bring a small salad in lieu of something else. If you don’t wish to bring a small salad, please call Roger & Kary. They may ask you to bring rolls or dessert. Blunks will supply the meat. YOUTH BONFIRE!A YOUTH BONFIRE will be held from 6-8 pm on September 15 on the west side of the church. Youth are encouraged to attend and bring their friends to enjoy food and fellowship around the fire. This event is open to all youth in the community! ADULT BIBLE STUDY!Adult bible study begins on Wednesday, September 18 at 10 am in the Fireside Room at First Lutheran. The study will be on the book “The Jesus I Never Knew.” The book is available on the table in the Narthex. Please limit one per family for those planning on attending the bible study weekly. Everyone is welcome to attend for the study and fellowship. The coffee pot will be on! HONORING OF OUR MEMBERS WHO ARE 80+ YEARS YOUNG will take place on Sunday, September 29 during the worship services at First Lutheran and Christ the Servant. Refreshments will be served after the service. Please plan to join us for worship that day and to honor these members! NOISY OFFERINGS!Please consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!! Offerings August through November will go to needy families in Chariton and Empty Stocking in Corydon. SEPTEMBER IS JUICE MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be fruit juices, vegetable juices, (tomato & V8), and juice boxes. Thank you! They DO NOT need ½ gallon milk jugs. Please consider helping with this ministry!
