| LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, June 10 beginning at 2 pm. CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Monday, June 10 at 6:30 pm at FLC. BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, June 11 at Hardees. “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, June 11 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS. THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, June 13, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, June 16, at 5 pm. Earl & Linda Comstock will host. FIRST LUTHERAN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP will be donuts starting Sunday, June 2 and going all summer after worship in the Fireside room with the exception of the outdoor worship Sundays. The First Lutheran Church Evangelism Committee is hosting a ladies luncheon to be held at Carpenter’s Hall in Chariton on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 12:30 pm. Dr. Rachelle K. Keck, President of Grand View University will be our guest speaker. There will also be musical entertainment as part of our program. We look forward to enjoying this celebration together! Worship service will be at 9 am on the west side of the church on the cement pad. Bring your lawn chairs. Following worship there will be a brunch potluck. Please bring a brunch item to share and join in this fellowship time. JUNE IS BREAKFAST MONTH at the Ministries Center. CHAPTER 9 WELCA IS PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS to assist female students. Female members of First Lutheran enrolled in a post-secondary institution can apply. Deadline is August 15, 2024. Applications can be picked up in the church office. NOISY OFFERINGS ARE CONTINUING! “Noisy Offerings” are taken on Sundays. Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!! CTS offerings through July will go to Wayne FFA. FLC offerings through July will go to Disaster Relief.
