| LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, July 8 beginning at 2 pm. BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, July 9 at Hardees. “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, July 9 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS. THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, July 11, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran. CHURCH COUNCIL HAS BEEN MOVED FROM MONDAY, JULY 8 TO MONDAY, JULY 15. BLESSING OF 4-H PROJECTS AND EXHIBITORS will be on Sunday, July 14 during worship at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant. Exhibitors can choose to bring a project, wear a 4-H shirt, or just come for the blessing! Lucas County Fair is July 20-24 and Wayne County is July 22-29. SIGN UP TO BRING COFFEE CAKE OR BUNDT CAKE for the Outdoor Worship at First Lutheran on July 21. The signup sheet is on the table in the Narthex. We need six volunteers!! FIRST LUTHERAN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP of donuts will be ongoing all summer after worship in the Fireside room with the exception of the outdoor worship Sundays. Please join in this fellowship opportunity! JULY IS CONDIMENTS & BAKING MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be ketchup, mustard, oil, mayo, salad dressing, pickles, sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and cocoa. We are looking for colorful quilts to display on the altar in place of the parament starting August 11 through September for two-week periods. Sign-up sheets are available at both churches. CLUSTER 9 WELCA IS PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS to assist female students. Female members of First Lutheran enrolled in a post-secondary institution can apply. Deadline is August 15, 2024. Applications can be picked up in the church office. NOISY OFFERINGS ARE CONTINUING! “Noisy Offerings” are taken on Sundays. Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!! CTS offerings through July will go to Wayne FFA. FLC offerings through July will go to Disaster Relief.
