FLC WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesday, January 7 at 10 am. ADULT BIBLE STUDY will meet on Wednesday, January 8, at 10 am. KNIT & CROCHET GROUP will meet at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 8. YOUTH INSPIRATIONAL GATHERING will be held on Wednesday, January 8, from 2-3 pm for confirmed youth and friends. Snacks and beverages will be provided. CTS ANNUAL MEETING & POTLUCK to be held on Sunday, January 12 right after worship. CALLING ALL CONFIRMED YOUTH!—You have two opportunities for youth fellowship! A trip to Branson is planned for March 9-12, 2025 and each youth is encouraged to invite a friend. Please register with Pastor Hutton by Sunday, January 5 so plans can be made. You are also invited to a Youth Inspirational Gathering at church which will be held from 2-3 pm on the first Wednesday of each month from January through May and September through December. Snacks and beverages will be provided. The January gathering will be on January 8 due to the holiday. Please bring your friends—everyone is welcome! THE SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE is participating in the hats and mittens program for HeadStart again this year. The teachers will be using a Thrivent gift card to purchase what they need for each of their students. If you are interested in donating, please make your checks payable to SCICAP. SUNDAY SCHOOLSunday school will resume on Sunday, January 12. Christ the Servant Sunday, January 12, 2025 Everyone is welcome to attend the annual meeting for ministry at Christ the Servant in Corydon. The meeting will begin about noon following regular Sunday worship. A potluck meal will be shared after the business portion of the meeting is concluded. On this day, Christ the Servant and First Lutheran will gather for joint worship at Chariton beginning at 9 am. The business meeting will follow at around 10:15 am. Following the business items of the day, we will join in the sharing of a potluck meal in the Fireside Room. Those who are able are invited and encouraged to bring a dish to share with others. NOISY OFFERINGS!!Please consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot! Offerings December through March at First Lutheran will go to Salvation Army-Heating Assistance. Offerings December through August at Christ the Servant will go to Wayne School needs. JANUARY IS LAUNDRY SUPPLIES MONTH for the Ministry Center. Examples would be detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, bleach, and stain remover. Please consider helping with this ministry!
