| OUTDOOR WORSHIP—ONE LAST TIME THIS SUMMER—August 18 at FLC On the third Sunday of August, outdoor Worship is being planned on the west side of First Lutheran on the large cement pad to begin at 9 am. Please bring your lawn chairs. Cake will be provided for fellowship following the worship service. CTS TASK FORCE meeting will be held on Sunday, August 18 at noon. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, August 18, at 5 pm. Joanne Fletcher and Paula Russo will host. Please bring an item to share. THE CTS WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet on Tuesday, August 20, at Christ the Servant beginning at 11:30 am. NOISY OFFERINGS! Please consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!! CTS and FLC offerings through the end of the year will benefit needy families. IT IS TIME FOR SCHOOL BAGS! We will be filling school bags at FLC on August 25th. If anyone wants to contribute, there will be a list of items needed in the Narthex. There will be a box in the Narthex to leave your items. If you wish to contribute money for shipping, make your checks to First Lutheran or bring money to the church office. If you have questions, contact Jean Heston or LuAnn Mosbach. BLESSING OF BACKPACKS & TEACHERS will be held on Sunday, August 25 during worship at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant. Students are encouraged to bring their school backpacks for the blessing. Chariton’s first day of school is Friday, August 23 and Wayne’s first day of school is Monday, August 26. FIRST LUTHERAN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP of donuts will be ongoing all summer after worship in the Fireside room with the exception of the outdoor worship Sundays. Please join in this fellowship opportunity! AUGUST IS A MEAL IN A BOX MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, and Complete Meals. Thank you! Please consider helping with this ministry!
