LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, August 10, at 5 pm. Roger & Kary Blunk will host. Please bring a food item to share.
LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, August 11 beginning at 2 pm.
CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Monday, August 11 at 6:30 pm at FLC.
BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, August 12 at Hardees.
“SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, August 12 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS.
FLC WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet at 10 am on Tuesday, August 12.
KNIT & CROCHET GROUP will meet on Wednesday, August 13 at 1:30 pm at First Lutheran.
THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, August 14, at 1 pm.
FLC OUTDOOR WORSHIP–ONE LAST TIME THIS SUMMER–AUGUST 17.
On the third Sunday of August, outdoor worship is being held on the west side of First Lutheran on the large cement pad to begin at 9 am. Please bring your lawn chairs.
Coffee cake will be served after the service. There are still spots available for you to sign up to bring a coffee cake. Please plan to stay for the fellowship!
BLESSING OF BACKPACKS will be held on Sunday, August 24 during worship at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant. Students are encouraged to bring their school backpacks for the blessing. First day of school for Chariton and Wayne is Monday, August 25 .
IT IS TIME FOR SCHOOL BAGS! We will be filling school bags at FLC on August 24. If anyone wants to contribute, there will be a list of items needed in the Narthex. There will be a box in the Narthex to leave your items. Please have your items here by August 17 so we can have them ready for filling on the 24th. If you wish to contribute money for shipping, make your checks payable to First Lutheran or bring money to the church office. If you have questions, contact Jean Heston or LuAnn Mosbach.
ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 24, CHRIST THE SERVANT will hold worship at the Corydon Reservoir Park at 11 am. A picnic will be held after the worship service.
NOISY OFFERINGS!!
Please consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot! Offerings July through November at First Lutheran will go to needy families. Offerings December through August at Christ the Servant will go to Wayne School needs.
AUGUST IS A MEAL IN A BOX MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, and Complete Meals. Thank you! Please consider helping with this ministry!
