IT IS HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION TIME!  First Lutheran has two graduating seniors this year:  Megan Aulwes & Devon Brown.
On Sunday, May 9, First Lutheran will recognize our high school graduates, MEGAN & DEVON, during the 9 am morning worship service. A reception, will follow in the Fireside Room.

BACCALAUREATE SERVICE:  A Baccalaureate Service for the 2021 graduating class of Chariton High School will be held at Cornerstone Church on Wednesday, May 5, beginning at 7:00 pm.  This event is sponsored by the Interchurch Council of Lucas County. All are welcome to attend.

CIRCLE OF FREEDOM CAN/BOTTLE DONATION SHED:  Circle of Freedom has a can/bottle donation shed in place and ready for donations!  This would be another great way to partner with them on a regular basis, so please spread the word.  It is located at the New Beginnings Worship Center on Highway 14 in Corydon.  All proceeds go to Circle of Freedom! 

THANK YOU!!  We received a thank you from the Lucas Co. Interchurch Council for all of our donations for the Homeless Program apartment.  To find out current needs and/or to refer someone in need of the apartment, please contact Kristine Kennedy at 641-774-3226.

  Corydon and Chariton each took a “noisy” offering during the season of Lent. 
* Corydon’s “noisy” offering was designated for Circle of Freedom – $199.06 was given.
* Chariton’s “noisy” offering was designated for ELCA World Hunger – $269.66 was given.
                Chariton also took up a mid-week Lenten offering that was          designated for Circle of Freedom – $200.41 was given.

CHRIST THE SERVANT ALSO COLLECTED ITEMS FOR PERSONAL CARE KITS for Lutheran World Relief during the season of Lent.  They collected enough items for 63 complete kits!!!  Thank you to Pastor Dick who delivered them to the pick-up location and to all who donated, helped pack, or helped in any other way.
