PRAYER SHAWL/BABY AFGHAN GROUP will gather in the FLC Library, beginning at 1:30 pm, on Wednesday, September 7. 
 
THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, September 8, at Homestead, at 1 pm. 
 
FIRST LUTHERAN OUTDOOR WORSHIP, Sunday, September 11 at 9:00 am, First Lutheran will have an outdoor worship service on the west side of the church on the large cement pad.  Please bring your lawn chairs. 
 
THE BREAKFAST GALS will meet on Tuesday, September 13, at Hardee’s, beginning at 8 am.
 
“SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING at CTS will take place on Tuesday, September 13, from 9 am-3 pm.
 
SCHOOL BAGS will be filled at FLC on “God’s Work, Our Hands” Day which is Sunday, September 11.  We have all the supplies to fill our school bags. Thank you to everyone who contributed.  If you wish to contribute money for shipping, make your check out to First Lutheran or bring money to the church office.  If you have any questions, please contact Jean Heston or LuAnn Mosbach.

FLC SUNDAY SCHOOL 2022-2023—School is back in session and we will once again have Sunday School during the worship service. Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 11 as the children are invited to help fill the school bags after the church service.  This will be considered their service project.  Then on September 18, we will officially begin teaching our youth.  The chart will be set up in the narthex and the members are invited once again to sign up to teach one Sunday this year.  (Or more if you want!) The children will be released as we begin the Gospel reading. The classes will be held in the Library and will last approximately 15-20 minutes.  All materials will be readily available for you.  Very little preparation is required.  Thank you in advance for sharing your faith with our youth!

SEPTEMBER IS JUICE MONTH at the Ministries Center.  Examples would be fruit juices, vegetable juices (tomato & V8), and juice boxes.  THE MINISTRY CENTER IS STILL IN NEED OF ½ GALLON MILK JUGS.  Thank you!

VOLUNTEER NEEDED to take milk jugs to the Ministries Center on Monday mornings (open 7:30-11:00).  Thanks to John & Sharon Neel for doing this in the past.  If anyone is interested in helping out at the center on Monday mornings, John’s position needs filled.

BLESSING OF BACKPACKS AND TEACHERS will take place at the outdoor worship at FLC on Sunday, August 21.  Children are invited to bring their backpacks to be blessed.   Teachers will also be blessed as they all prepare for the coming school year. 
 
ON AUGUST 21 at 10:00 am, breakfast will be served at First Lutheran by the Evangelism Committee following the outdoor worship service.  Everyone is welcome!
 
LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, August 21, at 5 pm.  Your hosts will be Earl & Linda Comstock. The meat will be provided. Please bring a dish item to share.
