The Week of August 6 at CTS & FLC

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY,  August 6

PASTOR HUTTON will be on vacation from July 28 – August 11.

FLC COUNTER TRAINING on Sunday, August 6 and Sunday, August 20 after worship service.  If you are currently a counter or would like to become one, please plan to attend one of these times.  We will be meeting in the library.

BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, August 8 at Hardees.
 
“SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, August 8 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS.
 
THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, August 10, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran. 
 
LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, August 13,  at 5 pm.  Marleen Oxenreider and Joanne Fletcher will be hosts.  Please bring an item to share.
ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 20, First Lutheran will hold the last outdoor worship for the year.  The service will begin at 9 a.m. Plan to stay for fellowship and French toast breakfast prepared by the Worship & Music Committee following the service.  Please bring your lawn chairs!

CHRIST THE SERVANT will be participating in the church service on the courthouse lawn in Corydon on August 20 at 10 am.  There will not be a service at CTS that day. 
“NOISY OFFERINGS” WILL CONTINUE to be taken on Sundays.  Each congregation’s donations will be collected for a local family in need through November.   Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!
AUGUST IS A MEAL IN A BOX MONTH at the Ministries Center.  Examples would be Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, and Complete Meals.  Thank you!

JULY IS CONDIMENTS & BAKING MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be ketchup, mustard, oil, mayo, salad dressing, pickles, sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and cocoa.  Thank you!  The Ministry Center is currently OUT OF toilet paper and laundry soap.  They also need ½ gallon milk jugs.  Please consider helping with this ministry!
THE LAWN MOWING SCHEDULE HAS BEEN POSTED on the bulletin board in the Fireside Room at FLC!  Please check your schedules to see when you might be able to help with this important ministry.
