The Week of September 3 at CTS & FLCWORSHIP THIS SUNDAY,  September 3
9 am – Chariton Worship 
11 am – Corydon Worship
10:30 am – Radio Broadcast on KIIC Radio – 96.7 FM Albia
FLC WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Tuesday, September 5 at 10 am.
 
PRAYER SHAWL/BABY AFGHAN GROUP will gather in the FLC Library, beginning at 1:30 pm, on Wednesday, September 6.  

GOD’S WORK, OUR HANDS DAY is on Sunday, September 10.

We will be filling school bags at FLC on that day. Everyone is welcome to help that morning after the worship service. If anyone wants to contribute there is a list of items needed in the Narthex. There will be a box in the Narthex to leave your items.  If you wish to contribute money for shipping, make your checks out to First Lutheran or bring money to the church office.  If you have questions, contact Jean Heston or LuAnn Mosbach.

“THE STORY” DISCUSSION GROUP will begin meeting on Wednesdays, starting on September 13  at 10 am.

Everyone is welcome to attend!  The discussion will align with the previous Sunday’s sermon.

“NOISY OFFERINGS” WILL CONTINUE to be taken on Sundays.  Please consider bringing your loose change to church and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!

SEPTEMBER IS JUICE MONTH at the Ministries Center.  Examples would be fruit juices, vegetable juices (tomato & V8), and juice boxes.  Thank you!

The following items are also needed:  large bottles of shampoo & conditioner, soap, razors, shaving cream, mouthwash, toothpaste, and other personal care items.  Donations can be dropped off on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30-11:15 at 410 S. 7th Street .  You can also drop off at Lucas County Public Health or Methodist Church.

SCHOOL BEGAN IN CHARITON ON AUGUST 23 AND WILL BEGIN IN CORYDON ON AUGUST 28.
There will be a blessing of backpacks and teachers at both FLC and CTS on Sunday, August 27.  All students and teachers are encouraged to attend for this special blessing for the 2023-24 school year.

The Week of August 20 at CTS & FLC

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY,  August 20

11 am – Corydon–Community Worship on Square (No worship service at CTS)

COUNTER TRAINING AT FLC WILL BE HELD August 20 after worship service.  If you are currently a counter or would like to become one and did not attend on August 6, please plan to attend.  We will be meeting in the library. The process has changed effective September 1.  If unable to attend but still interested in counting, please let Susan in the office know.  
ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 20, First Lutheran will hold the last outdoor worship for the year.  The service will begin at 9 a.m. Plan to stay for fellowship and French toast breakfast prepared by the Worship & Music Committee following the service.  Please bring your lawn chairs!

CHRIST THE SERVANT will be participating in the church service on the courthouse lawn in Corydon on August 20 at 10 am.  There will not be a service at CTS that day.
