CHURCH COUNCIL  will meet on Monday, July 15 at 6:30 pm in the Library.  This meeting was postponed from July 8. THE CTS WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet on Tuesday, July 16, at Christ the Servant beginning at 11:30 am.   FIRST LUTHERAN WILL HAVE AN OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE on Sunday, July 21.  Please bring your lawn chair to the service on the west side of the church. LUTHERAN ADULT FELLOWSHIP will meet on Sunday, July 21, at 5 pm.  Duane and Cindy Bedford will host.  Please bring an item to share.    BLESSING OF FAIR PROJECTS AND EXHIBITORS will be SUNDAY, JULY 14 during worship at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant.   Lucas County Fair is July 20-24 and Wayne County is July 22-29. FIRST LUTHERAN WILL HOLD OUTDOOR WORSHIP on Sunday, July 21 at 9 am on the west side of the church.  Please bring your lawn chair and plan to stay for coffee cake fellowship after the service! YOU ARE INVITED TO THE LUCAS COUNTY FAIR ECUMENICAL WORSHIP SERVICE on Sunday, July 21 at 11:00 am at the Lucas County Fairgrounds at the outdoor stage.  Bring your own lawn chair.  In case of rain, it will be held in the indoor arena.  This service is sponsored by Interchurch Council.   NOISY (OR QUIET) OFFERINGS! Please  consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot!!  CTS and FLC offerings in July will benefit Disaster Relief for the Western Iowa Synod.  You are encouraged to make a “quiet” donation of bills or checks made out to First Lutheran or Western Iowa Synod Disaster Response. FIRST LUTHERAN SUMMER FELLOWSHIP of donuts will be ongoing all summer after worship in the Fireside room with the exception of the outdoor worship Sundays.  Please join in this fellowship opportunity! JULY IS CONDIMENTS & BAKING MONTH at the Ministries Center. Examples would be ketchup, mustard, oil, mayo, salad dressing, pickles, sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and cocoa.  Thank you!   Please consider helping with this ministry! LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, July 8 beginning at 2 pm.   BREAKFAST GALS will meet at 8 am on Tuesday, July 9 at Hardees.   “SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, July 9 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS.   THE WOMEN OF THE ELCA will gather on Thursday, July 11, at 1:00 pm at First Lutheran.    CHURCH COUNCIL HAS BEEN MOVED FROM MONDAY, JULY 8 TO MONDAY, JULY 15.  BLESSING OF 4-H PROJECTS AND EXHIBITORS will be on Sunday, July 14 during worship at both First Lutheran and Christ the Servant.   Exhibitors can choose to bring a project, wear a 4-H shirt, or just come for the blessing!  Lucas County Fair is July 20-24 and Wayne County is July 22-29. CHARITON COMMUNITY WORSHIP SERVICE ON SUNDAY, JUNE 30. First Lutheran will participate in the Community Worship Service at the Gazebo on the Chariton Square.  The service will begin at 9 am. Please bring your lawn chairs!! This service is sponsored by the Lucas County Interchurch Council.  There WILL NOT be a worship service at First Lutheran on June 30—we encourage you to attend the worship service on the Chariton square.  Please give any offering you would have given on June 30 either on June 23 or July 7.  CHRIST THE SERVANT WILL WORSHIP AT THEIR REGULAR WORSHIP TIME OF 11 AM ON JUNE 30.   CHRIST THE SERVANT WILL WORSHIP AT THEIR REGULAR WORSHIP TIME OF 11 AM ON JUNE 30 followed by a potluck dinner.   CTS WORSHIP & MUSIC COMMITTEE will meet on Monday, July 1 at 11 am.
