DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS on Sunday, March 8.
LAPLANDERS QUILT GUILD AT CTS will meet on Monday, March 9 beginning at 2 pm.
CHURCH COUNCIL will meet on Monday, March 9 at 6:30 pm.
BREAKFAST GALS meet on Tuesday, March 10 at 8 am at Hardees.
“SHARING THE WEIGHT” BLANKET MAKING will take place on Tuesday, March 10 from 9 am-3 pm at CTS.
KNIT & CROCHET GROUP will meet at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11.
MIDWEEK LENTEN SOUP SUPPER AND WORSHIP SERVICE on Wednesday, March 4. Soup supper at 6 p.m. with worship at 7 p.m. in Chariton.
WOMEN OF THE ELCA will meet on Thursday, March 12 at 1 pm at First Lutheran.
MID-WEEK LENTEN SERVICES AT FIRST LUTHERAN
Mid-week Lenten services will be held on March 11, 18, and 25 with a soup and sandwich supper provided at 6 p.m. Worship service will be at 7 p.m. There is a host sign up sheet on the table in the Narthex to bring dessert, make coffee, and clean up.
HOLY WEEK WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Holy Week will begin with Palm Sunday on March 29. At First Lutheran, the youth will gather in the Fireside room prior to the service and process into the sanctuary.
Maundy Thursday service on April 2 will be a joint worship service at First Lutheran with a Seder meal in the Fireside Room at 7 p.m. There is a signup sheet in the Narthex to indicate attendance numbers.
Good Friday service on April 3 will be at 12 p.m. as a joint worship service at Christ the Servant in Corydon.
Easter Sunday, April 5, will begin with breakfast at First Lutheran at 7:30-8:45 a.m. with worship at 9 a.m. For Christ the Servant, breakfast will begin at 9:30 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m.
NOISY OFFERINGS!!
Please consider bringing your loose change to church on Sundays and “noisily” depositing it in the pot! Offerings December through March at First Lutheran will go to Lutheran Lakeside camp equipment. Congregation goal is $500 which the Council will match!
Offerings at Christ the Servant will go to swim lessons.
MARCH IS KITCHEN SINK MONTH for the Ministry Center. Examples would be dish soap, comet, scouring pads, Lysol, wipes, toilet bowl cleaner, etc. Please consider helping with this ministry! Thank you!
